Privacy policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

This website is a personal portfolio. It sells nothing, has no user accounts and uses no tracking or advertising cookies. The only personal data it collects is what you send through the contact form.

Who is responsible

Gontzal Bilbao Peláez, as a private individual, owner of gontzalbilbao.com. You can write to contact@gontzalbilbao.com about anything related to your data.

What data I collect and why

From the contact form: your name, your email, the reason, your company if you give it, and the message. I use them only to reply to you. I do not use them to send you advertising or pass them on to anyone for that purpose.

The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box before sending. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to me.

Who it is shared with

  • FormSubmit (formsubmit.co): the service that receives the form and forwards it to me by email. It processes the data on my behalf to do so.
  • IONOS: the website’s hosting provider. Like any server, it logs technical data about visits (IP address, date and page requested) for security and operation.

Either of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; in that case the safeguards set out in their own policy apply.

How long I keep it

Messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and, at most, 12 months from the last contact. After that I delete them.

Your rights

You can ask me for access to, rectification or erasure of your data, restriction of or objection to its processing, and its portability, by writing to contact@gontzalbilbao.com. If you think your request was not handled properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

Storage in your browser

The site stores two preferences in your own browser (local storage, not cookies) that are not personal data: whether you prefer light or dark mode, and the values you type into «Your values» in the cheatsheets. They never leave your device and you can clear them from your browser settings.
